A look at the St. John Fall 2012 Collection

St. John’s fall 2012 collection has just hit stores and this past Thursday, we were invited for an up close and personal look at the collection, at their beautiful store at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver.

This season I am inspired by women who can appreciate the beauty and value of old world aristocratic style and blend it with their individual free spirit to create fresh, modern, effortless chic. I most admire women with a sense of creative curiosity that can borrow from the past without being nostalgic and blend those elements with contemporary style and thinking to create a fresh, individual style. Timeless and effortless. For me Loulou de la Falaise will always epitomize such a woman. “ – George Sharp, Creative Director at St. John

George Sharp set out to design this season’s collection with a clear vision and achieved every bit of it. Always luxurious, St John’s fall 2012 collection is sophisticated, yet modern. Bold, bright red pieces are eye catching and sensual, with a femme fatale vibe, enhanced by fur and animal prints. Silhouettes are both fitted and loose, varying for a range of occasions.

In addition to the clothes shown on the runway, there are many gorgeous pieces to be seen in store as well. Classic coats and jackets are given a twist with new details and more color ways are offered for those looking for a softer look.
