Alexander Wang Sweatshop Case Thrown Out Of Court

Alexander Wang - Backstage - Fall 2010 MBFW

We’ve kept you updated on all the Alexander Wang sweatshop allegations as they came about. For a while now, nothing new has surfaced. That is, until today. WWD reports that the Alexander Wang case has been thrown out of court. A New York judge has dismissed the case after both parties settled out of court weeks ago. A spokesperson for Wang told WWD “We are gratified that this matter has been dismissed, as the allegations were unfounded and completely false.”

There you have it. I guess we’ll never actually know what happened, because terms of the agreement aren’t known. We’re hoping the allegations weren’t true and it was just the case of a disgruntled employee. Congratulations Wang and we look forward to your upcoming collection during New York Fashion Week.

Congratulations, Wang? That is some fine journalism…

It's more than fashion.
