Best Dressed at the 2014 Oscars

It’s one of the biggest nights in fashion – the Oscars. The pinnacle of red carpets and a feast for the eyes of some of the most beautiful gowns (and tuxedos!) of the season.

Tonight’s 86th Academy Awards brought out many of Hollywood’s bright and beautiful stars, like Brad Pitt and the ever-stunning Angelina Jolie, who wore a metallic sequin Elie Saab gown. Going nude-toned, Cate Blanchett wore Armani, while Charlize Theron in Dior and Emma Watson in Vera Wang went for bold black. Dior got another hit with Jennifer Lawrence in pure red.

She might have missed the mark at the Golden Globes, but Julia Roberts hit the bullseye in Givenchy at the Oscars. Also making their mark were Kate Hudson and Lady Gaga, who both looked incredible in Atelier Versace. Meanwhile, this season’s red carpet queen, Lupita Nyong’o looked absolutely ethereal in an ice blue custom Prada gown.

Naomi Watts donned a white Calvin Klein Collection number. Straying off white, Portia de Rossi wore a sophisticated cut-out Naeem Khan gown. Sandra Bullock appeared in a navy Alexander McQueen gown that certainly did her well this round.

Last but not least, a few of the guys also held their own on the style front. Pharrell made a daring move, wearing a Lanvin shorts suit. White jackets were also quite the menswear trend on the red carpet this year, but Jared Leto did it best in Saint Laurent. Classic and sharp, Zac Efron arrived in Calvin Klein Collection.
