Betsey Johnson Is Back, With A Brand New Dress Line

We just knew that Betsey couldn’t keep out of the fashion game. All of our hearts ached when we learned that Betsey had filled for bankruptcy and was going under. Now, we’re all just excited that she’s doing her thing again. The cartwheeling designer, made famous for her flirty and fun dresses, has announced that she will be doing a new dress line.
Johnson will be teaming up with The Levy Group, a company that already works on other project with the good old Betsey, to release a new line of dresses for Spring/Summer 2013. Well this is just dandy! After all, can a girl really be fashionable if she doesn’t have at least one Johnson in her wardrobe? No. In other exciting Betsey news — she’ll be showing the collection during her “Retrospective” fashion show at the upcoming New York Fashion Week. So that means she is showing again? Bonus! The Betsey show is basically just one big party and sort-of reunion for the people of our fair industry.
Betsey commented saying,”I’m back!!! Doing my dress thing. Pretty and punk, sweet and sexy, always rock n’ roll.” and we think that is just adorable! We’re so happy to hear the designer is making a comeback, and so soon! The dresses will retail for a cool $99 to $249 and will be sold in top tier boutiques and department stores.
