Newcomer Brandon Sun opted for a small yet intimate presentation during New York Fashion Week. Known for his edgy fur and fur accessories designs at J. Mendel and Oscar de la Renta, Sun broke out and expanded his foray into ready-to-wear with cozy knits, and luxe leather. Inspired by sword wielding heroines, his collection titled “Silent Assassins” are made for women who are today’s leaders, innovators, and initiators. The collection had a minimalistic vibe with a raw edge. There were long sheer dresses and skirts, fur wraps layered in every sort of way, and low-slung pants. The hues ranged from black to beige to grey with highlights of pink thrown in. The favorites in the collection were the fox pullovers, the cracked white leather jacket, and fox accents. Ageless yet elegant, Sun knows how to play his cards well. Fashion players watch out, here comes Sun!
