Calvin Klein Collection Men’s Spring 2013

It looks like 90’s style is influencing the menswear collections in Milan for spring 2013. Calvin Klein is bringing back stonewashed denim with a vengeance. The show opened with denim on denim, progressing into taupe and beige. Leather jackets did not go unnoticed, subtly luxurious in their buttery finish.
Navy dominates a bulk of the collection, with a surfer-like floral print repeating over shirts shorts and even suits; a perfect visual for the Beach Boys musical accompaniment. To close the show, Calvin Klein gives us high-tech textile finishes and classically chic black on black looks.
Silhouettes play with proportion. Tapered, pleated pants ran throughout. Classic America sportswear was evident, with a multitude of T-shirts, sweatshirts, jean jackets and chinos.
The men’s spring 2013 collection embodies the art of simplicity and the clean quintessentially Calvin Klein aesthetic.
