Battersea Dogs & Cats Home has recently been the recipient of a vast amount of charity from a handful of ambitious designers. Stella McCartney, Mulberry, and Philip Treacy are three of the designers who have put on their creativity pants, in order to design couture for our canine counterparts.

The designs that this select group of designers have put together, will be showcased during the Collars and Coats gala next month, where they will be auctioned to raise money for Battersea. This promises to be quite the event, as the three designers that were previously mentioned, are not the only participants. Giles Deacon, Henry Holland, Stephen Jones, Julien Macdonald, Gareth Pugh, Jenny Packham, Vivienne Westwood and Matthew Williamson are all getting involved, as are several others.

On November 8, the gala will take place, where several, especially fantastic, canines will model the designs. Wonder how they will feel walking down the “catwalk?”

If you’re in the market for some luxurious puppywear, grab your checkbook and get in on the auction November 8th. Personally, I’m more of a cat person, but put a pooch in a couture outfit and I’m on board!

It's more than fashion.
