Chanel’s Crystalline Perfection for Fall 2012

Ahh Karl. The ever creative, the ever knowing, the ever, well, amazing. As per usual, the Chanel collection was one of sheer and utter perfection. The jewel tones ran throughout the collection – amethyst, ruby, sapphire, gold amongst the black and grey – and even were a particular feature on many garments. The classic Chanel looks were there – tweed jackets, boyish cuts, striking silhouettes – but there was something aesthetically edgy about this particular fall collection. With sharp cuts on dresses and crystalline adornments in gathered bunches, the Chanel collection was nothing short of opulent. The dark make-up was accompanied by bejeweled eyebrows and slicked back hair, creating the ultra-edgy, high fashion crusader that the collection emanated. Another perfect collection, but you already knew that, didn’t you?
