Elizabeth and James Releases Sneakers, Defies Fashion Faux Pas
In a world filled with blowouts and six-inch Proenza heels and Chanel flats the girls of fashion never give their feet a break. My mother once told me that “if it hurts, it looks good.” I’ve followed that rule in every single shoe purchase I’ve ever made. It’s probably one of fashions most sacred rules (read: faux pas) and is hardly ever disputed — until now.
Sometimes your feet just need a break. Instead of slipping your feet into your boyfriends Nike Free’s slip them into the new Elizabeth and James sneakers for Resort 2013. Umm… this is exciting. Beyond exciting. After all, it’s so much easier to do an editorial leap in a sneaker than a Miu Miu glitter bootie, trust.
The shoes will retail for $275 and will be sold at Bergdorf Goodman and other high-end retailers. These are the first athletic shoes for the brand and are sure to be a hit! I can’t wait to latch my fingers onto a pair and never let go!
