Fashion Dreaming: Margiela for H&M
This morning I awoke with such little hope, mostly because my alarm clock wasn’t the norm. This time, it was the construction men jackhammering outside my window on 3rd Avenue at 7am in the morning, you can see how today got off on the wrong foot. However, WWD just announced something that has made me weak in the knees and giddy with hope.
Fashion rumors have circled and the newest one in the fashion pond is that H&M is said to collaborate with the avant-garde and the avant everything in my closet designer (see what we did there?) Maison Martin Margiela.
A spokeswomen for H&M told WWD that “We never comment on rumors,” however, these things usually turn out to be true when it comes down to collaborations. Unless, you know, it’s Tom Ford for H&M. That is something that will only happen in our wettest of dreams.

UPDATE 6/12: While fashion rumors somehow have a way of working themselves out, were glad this one is true! Announced in a press release, H&M confirmed their collaboration with Margiela. The press release announced that it “will bring together the contrasting universes of the two houses in ways that will surprise everyone.” The collection has a launch date of November 15th, 2012 and will hit around 230 stores worldwide.
