First Look: Angelina Jolie as Maleficent

Back in April, we confirmed the rumor that Angelina Jolie would be starring in the live-action film MALEFICENT, telling the tale of the famed witch from the “Sleeping Beauty” fairy tale.
Well now, Disney has released the first image from the long awaited film (not opening until March 14, 2014), which features Jolie as Maleficent in the famed horned head-dress.
It has also been confirmed that Imelda Staunton and Miranda Richardson (Harry Potter) have joined the cast, along with Kenneth Cranham (Hot Fuzz), Sam Riley (Control), Sharlto Copley (District 9), and Lesley Manville (Another Year).
Elle Fanning has also been confirmed to play the Princess Aurora, while Sam Riley (On The Road) will portray Diaval, “a raven who changes into human form and is Maleficent’s right hand.”
