Gelcolor by OPI
We are always on the lookout for the hottest and newest in nail trends, so when we heard that Senses Salon and Spa is now offering the Gelcolor by OPI Manicure we headed on over to see what exactly goes into this no-chip manicure that is all the rage.
The Gelcolor by OPI is a super glossy, chip resistant manicure that will last on your nails anywhere from 2-4 weeks. Right now OPI is offering the Gelcolor in “Lincoln Park Afert Dark” (a dark purple); “I’m Not Really A Waitress” (shimmery red); “Strawberry Margarita” (bright pink);“Cajun Shrimp” (reddish coral); and “Passion” (a blush pink); however soon all 24 of OPI’s standard colors will be available in Gelcolor. Naturally I chose my go to color, the “I’m Not Really A Waitress”.
The staff at Senses Salon and Spa are all super friendly and after being offered either wine or water and getting a fabulous blow-out from hairstylist Joe, manicurist Margareth took on the challenge of transforming my post-Fashion Week nails into something of beauty again. After shaping my nails and a fabulous hand massage, the Gelcolor was applied. Consisting of 4 coats (base coat, 2 coats of polish, and top coat), each coat is dried and set under the Gelcolour by OPI UV light. Once the final coat has been set, the manicure is completely dried and your ready to go.
I’ve had the manicure on for 2 weeks now and can report the nails are still just as shiny as day one and are chip-free.
The Gelcolor by OPI Manicure at Senses Salon and Spa is $53 and worth every penny. For more information about Senses, visit their Facebook page or to book an appointment call 212-242-7979.
