Givenchy Men’s Spring 2013
Riccardo Tisci is a visionary and true artist when it comes to his latest collection for Givenchy. It seems as those Tisci has perfectly intertwined two different feelings; saint and sin. Givenchy took menswear to a whole new level with each look that walked down the runway.
A strong color palette of black, white, pink and red. Wharol pop-art-esque images plastered upon the chest of paneled aprons. The collection screamed hypocrisy as saintly images laid upon the over sized, yet tailored shirts. The flaps slung down and created a new silhouette with each step the models took. Large collars perched upon the boxy silhouettes of jackets. It all came together with the perfectly tailored pants.
The collection was perfect for layering and each piece flowed eloquently with each other. The jaws dropped on just about everyone, as it should. The collection brought Givenchy to new heights and Tisci is a force to be reckoned with.
