Givenchy’s Resort 2013 collection is a perfect fusion of East and West. Eye-catching patterns and paisley prints are juxtaposed by square geometry. The collection features an array of silhouettes. Jodhpur pants and cape-cut tops bring an equestrian element, emphasized by leather, denim and an abundance of silk.
Bright red and blue popped against subdued navy, brown and black, while a few all-white looks brought us back to the cruise mood. The floor length gowns are regal and elegant; yet bold enough to make a red carpet statement. Lace-up peep-toe boots in a range of heights were definitive, while statement clutches and classic, leather handbags completed the looks.
