To kick on this month of beauty we are going back to basics. With the changing seasons there are new challenges to maintaining your do. Sometimes you find that you need to upgrade your collection of tools to manage and cope with the changes your hair experiences. The only tools you must have are a great curling iron, flat iron and hair dryer. You can create any style with just these three. We have some great tools that you may not know about that will give you great hair options for the summer.

Ok so you are looking for a curling iron that isnʼt going to break the bank. Enter Hot Tools Professional Irons ($25-$40), this collection of curling irons can be found everywhere literally. This is a favorite for pros and non-pros alike, backstage at fashion week you will see a bevy of irons from this brand. They come with spring clips, marcel clips and clipless, they feature an adjustable heat setting, cool tip and come in a wide range of sizes. They are reliable and affordable. With these irons you can make any kind of curl you need for your look. Bonus: with the soft grip handle you donʼt have to worry about an iron that will slip out of your hand.

Iʼm going to tell you a secret as stylists we need some options that are unusual and simple. There are a couple of “secret weapons” we are going to share with you – Enzo Milano Irons. The irons by Enzo come in interesting shapes and sizes for their clips less irons. The Reverso Curling Iron ($140) is great for making large waves and curls without adding too much volume at the root. All of the volume is concentrated at the ends. They also have the Bi-Tube Iron which gives a beautiful S pattern shape. You should be aware that the Bi-Tube ($170) works best with long hair. These irons are not for the faint of heart – they get hot and do not have a clip.
