Jason Wu Brings It Down A Notch With Miss Wu

Season after season fashion girls alike budget their finances all for the hopes of being able to afford one piece from the Jason Wu collection line. Whether it’s an “it” bag or a beautiful collection piece, Wu is one designer that should be purchased season after season. However, us fashion folk don’t make that much money. We do it because we love all of you, and the parties… I guess.

Imagine the faces of editors around the globe when WWD reported that Jason Wu would be releasing Miss Wu. I believe it went something like this “Ohhh my gaaawddd!” and then they all G-Chatted (the most popular form of communication in any field) and lusted over piece after piece. Wu spoke to WWD saying “I always see Jason Wu [the collection] as my aesthetic, my design sensibility. Miss Wu is my personality. It was really fun to explore that facet of who I am — slightly more downtown, and with a more relaxed attitude.” We think that is just dandy. We love a downtown look just as much as the next group of editors.

The line will run anywhere from $195 to $795 for various pieces; that’s a hefty price change from Wu collection pieces. The line will be exclusively carried at Nordrstrom’s Via C departments and Nordstroms.com for a year. After that, Wu plans to take the collection global.
