Never one to take the easy way out, Carly Wintschel dove into the pastry world head-first, specializing in one of the most difficult types of pastry.
With her bold and daring personality and penchant for perfection, it’s no surprise that Carly Wintschel began her foray into the pastry world creating one of the most notoriously difficult and temperamental types of pastry: the macarons. Carly reminisces about her time spent studying pastry making in France, and remembers how much she loved the challenge posed by the macarons. She hadn’t planned macarons to be her defining product upon her return home, but notes that she was initially attracted to making them because of the level of excellence required to create the delicate confections. With her pastry business expanding rapidly, we were curious to find out more about the woman behind the macarons.
