Pink Tartan Spring 2013
Toronto Fashion favorite, Pink Tartan showed their spring 2013 collection to a full house on opening night of World MasterCard Fashion Week. The show was opened by Charlotte Free, whose signature pink ombré locks were a perfect fit. The looks were fresh and modern, without loosing their soft edge. Silhouettes are feminine, while encompassing structure and modern proportions.
This season, designer Kimberly Newport-Mimran worked with laser cuts and texture. Metallics made their way onto many of the pieces, adding a new dimension to the Pink Tartan girl.
Evidently, the collection had no shortage of detail. Every aspect of Pink Tartan’s collection is thoughtful, this season enhanced by the designer’s first shoe collaboration, an exciting new step for the label.
A fantastic start to Toronto Fashion Week – bravo Pink Tartan!
