Every season Public School is one presentation that I look forward too. Former members of the inaugural class of the CFDA Incubator, Public School is quickly climbing the ladder of the menswear world. This season Public School looked to the “Structure,” and the balance of things. The expert tailoring and proportions of layers made the clothes look just that, structured.

A color palette of mostly blue, grey, white and black — which is the perfect color palette for the perfect New Yorker. Which makes perfect sense with Public School being a New York City based brand. Some key pieces included an electric blue waxed cotton parka, a waxed canvas jacket with leather sleeves and a washed vegi-tan lamb biker vest. Don’t let that make you think that everything in the collection wasn’t lust worthy, because it was. When it comes to Public School, even their basic tee’s, it’s all something you’d want in your closet. But for a second, can we talk about the fit of their jeans? I’m a man who enjoys a good skinny fit, without looking like some teenage boy. Public School delivered this fit, that was absolutely perfect, tight where it needed to be and room to move where it was necessary. It all goes back to that idea of structure.

Public School NYC is the brand for that New Yorker. You know what I mean, the one with that perfect balance of swagger and class. The one who gets the looks on the street, not because he’s dangerously handsome, but because of the way he carries himself and the outfit he has on. We applaud you both on an amazing Spring collection.
