Stella McCartney’s Sports Centric Fall 2012
From the British Olympic uniform, to the rolling Adidas collaborations, Stella McCartney’s sportswear inspired collection comes as no surprise. Cobalt blue stormed the runways in Paris this week, and the sleek cuts by the Brit were perfect for a swooning. The floral designs, which were touched on here and there, created femininity to the otherwise boyish designs, but the flirty dresses kept it solidly in the lust list for every style set member out there. Of course, it wouldn’t be a Stella show without the equivocally British aristocratic aura surrounding the designs, and the sheer power from the blue suits harked back to the Iron Lady herself, Margaret Thatcher. The English countryside came in to play in the tweed and knitted pieces, but McCartney was sure to keep her sleek, clean lines a key touch. The simple make-up and slicked hair added to the sheer social power this woman possesses, but all we can say is that Stella; you’re a knockout star. And the 1st place gold medal goes to…
