It seems like just a short time ago that I was another intern trying to make my move in the fashion industry, because it was literally only a few months ago. After countless internships and working my bum off I found a home here, with all of you at KENTON magazine. Back to the point, besides internships and schooling there really isn’t much out there for us interns. We’ve all been there and it’s always great to know that there are people looking out for us; like the New York City Economic Development Corporation and Parsons and their second annual Fashion Campus NYC, taking place June 15th and 16th, 2012.

Fashion Campus NYC will provide you, the future editors and buyers and power players of this industry insight on what it’s like and how to really make the most of it. Focusing purely on the business side of things the program will offer professional education and networking opportunities, while topping it off with a keynote address by Rachel Roy.

The 2012 program includes “Backstage Pass,” a panel of young fashion professionals to provide insight. In addition to “Ready-to-Work,” a networking brunch for your benefit; and “A Tailored Approach,” which will break all of you into sections depending on future career goals.

If you’re interested in attending Fashion Campus NYC, which is free, you can register here. We strongly suggest you go as this is the perfect opportunity for you to learn as much as possible!
