Best Dressed at the Teen Choice 2012 Awards

Tonight L.A. hosted the Teen Choice 2012 Awards and everyone from comedians to celebs to athletes hit up the pink carpet to see if they were the winners of the Teen Choice surf board.

Like the MTV Movie Awards, the fashion for the Teen Choice is much more relaxed and playful with lots of bright colors. Host Demi Lovato wore a black and yellow dress from Falguni & Shane Peacock not only on the carpet, but also as her first look for the live show. This isn’t the first time Demi has chosen Falguni & Shane, she recently wore a dress from their Fall 2012 collection to the FOX upfront presentations.

Teen Choice winner and star of the 5 time Teen Choice winning “The Vampire Diaries”, Nina Dobrev didn’t disappoint with her choice of a teal strapless dress from J. Mendel and heels from Jimmy Choo. Also going strapless is “Glee” star Lea Michele who wore silver Versace mini paired with Versace platform heels.

“Pretty Little Liars” star Lucy Hale wore a bright tangerine dress from Wes Gordon Spring 2012 collection while her co-star Shay Mitchell chose a bright yellow dress from Donna Karan. Actress Debby Ryan hit the pink carpet in a dress from the Bibhu Mohapatra Resort 2013 collection paired with a Edie Parker clutch and shoes from Chanel.

“New Girl” actress and Teen Choice nominee Hannah Simone went with a foral dress from Mary Katrantzou and paired her dress with shoes from JustFab.com. Country superstar (and red carpet darling) Taylor Swift kept her look simple with a white dress from Maria Lucia Hohan along with heels from Prada. Birthday girl Selena Gomez looked summer chic in bright pink dress from DSquared2 and heels from Hervé Léger.

Although she didn’t walk the pink carpet Kristen Stewart was on hand (along with co-stars Robert Pattinson & Taylor Lautner) to accept the Ultimate Choice award for The Twilight Saga in a tee shirt from Fluxus, Christian Louboutin pumps, and blazer and pants from Roberto Cavalli.

Fashion on the 2012 MTV Movie Awards Red Carpet

While the Oscars and Emmys are for the time for amazing gowns on the red carpet, the MTV Movie Awards is when stars can let down their hair down and play it a little more cool, chic, and in some cases just plain crazy.

The theme for the 2012 MTV Movie Awards red carpet seemed to either be bold, bright colors or black & white.

Popping color was Best Kiss winner Kristen Stewart in a yellow, purple, and silver Guishem mini and Ciara in a bright red/orange Balmain mini. Best Cast winner Emma Watson wore a multi-print Brood dress while Pretty Little Liars star Lucy Hale wore a color-blocked Catherine Malandrino dress.

MTV Trail Blazer award winner Emma Stone kept it chic in a black and white strapless Martin Grant dress. Presenter Jessica Biel welcomed summer with a fabulous white Chanel dress. Best On-Screen Transformation winner Elizabeth Banks rocked an all black Elie Saab jumpsuit while Best Breakthrough Performance winner Shaileen Woodley also wore an all black jumpsuit from Stella McCartney.

Presenter Julianne Hough wore a black cut-out Sally LaPointe dress while Christina Ricci hit the red carpet in a black Christian Siriano strapless dress with detailing that included crystals, buttons, beads and Timex watches.

However, it was the always fabulous Charlize Theron who wowed us the most in a stunning red strapless peplum dress from Lanvin.

Scream 4: What To Expect

15 years ago, screenwriter Kevin Williamson (“Dawson’s Creek”, “The Vampire Diaries”) teamed up with master of horror films Wes Craven to give us a new kind of horror movie. We all watched in horror as Drew Barrymore simply answered the phone only to end up fighting for her life, because she answered the question of “Who was the original killer in the “Friday the 13th” (for your reference it was Mrs. Voorhees) wrong. “Scream” went on to span 2 sequels and was the basis of the “Scary Movie” franchise.

“Scream 4” (out April 15th) is not a re-boot of the franchise, but more a “what happens next?”. Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) returns to Woodsboro for the 15th anniversary of the original murders, only to end up re-living her past with a new set of rules. This new killer is video tapping and streaming the murders online; virgins (who are normally “safe”) are up for grabs this time around.

Leading the line of the new victims are Emma Roberts (“Nancy Drew”), Hayden Panettiere (“Heros”) , Lucy Hale (“Pretty Little Liars”), Shenae Grimes (“90210”), Erik Knudsen, and Rory Culkin. The big names making appearances are Kristen Bell (“Veronica Mars”) and Anna Paquin (“True Blood”).

Returning from the original cast along with Neve Campbell are Courtney Cox (Gale Weathers) and David Arquette (Dewey Riley).
