Tiger of Sweden Opens Flagship in Toronto

Toronto had itself an exciting fashion moment this week with the opening of the first-ever Tiger of Sweden flagship location! The Scandinavian brand opened it’s minimalist fashion doors at 56 Ossington Avenue. M.I.A To Collaborate With Versace

It’s been pretty non-stop this week in terms of fashion news and the latest story grabbing our attention is the (heavily) rumored collaboration between singer M.I.A and the one-and-only house of Versace. Early this week M.I.A was speaking at New York’s PS1 contemporary art institution where (in an act worthy of a Gossip Girl plot) she accidentally flashed her top-secret computer files to the crowd. Folders titled “Versace Prints,” “Bootleg Versace” and “Versace Outlines,” sparked the collaboration rumor and M.I.A reportedly confirmed to a reporter later that day that she is in fact working with the iconic brand.

While M.I.A didn’t specify in what way she’ll be working with Versace, we’re hoping she puts her Central St. Martin’s degree to use and teams up with Donatella in a creative direction sort-of way. With Versace’s fearless approach to glamour and M.I.A’s edgy sense of style, the two would undoubtedly come up with an unforgettable collection. Are you excited to see what these two are working on? Remember that time you called Adele fat, and sent her Chanel bags as an apology? I’ll let you call me whatever you want if you send me anything from your new men’s collection.

Now that we’ve got that out of the way we can get to the news. WWD reported that Karl has given Luisa Via Roma exclusive rights to carry his new men’s line. Karl men’s will have everything a trendy boy needs, from slouchy T-shirts and jeans to some bad ass biker jackets and even trench coats. I sense some serious layering potential here. Prices range from $97 to $1,865, at the current exchange rate.

I’m not saying I want the warm weather to leave us already, I’m just saying that I know what I’m wearing for Fall. The pieces are amazing either stand alone or paired with the rest of the collection. What we love most about this collection is the wearability of it all, mixing and matching with pieces in your closet make for the perfect purchase. Start saving your pennies gentleman.

The Devil Wears Prada Sequel is Confirmed

10 years after the original became a best seller, spawned a great movie adaption, and caused us all to pay way more attention to Anna Wintour then we already did, come the news that author Lauren Weisberger is writing a sequel to “The Devil Wears Prada”.

Titled “Revenge Wears Prada: The Devil Returns”, the book [per Entertainment Weekly] “picks up eight years after Andy parted ways with Miranda on bad terms. Andy is now editing The Plunge, the hottest bridal magazine around, alongside Emily, her one-time Runway nemesis turned current BFF. While Andy is planning her own wedding to Max, a handsome media scion, she remains haunted by her impeccably heeled former boss — and the magazine world being as small as it is, it’s only a matter of time before she hears the dreaded syllables “Ahn-dre-ah!” again.”

We will now be counting down the days until this book hits shelves and will cross all fingers and wish upon a star that this too will become a movie just so we can see Meryl Streep portray Miranda Priestly again.

Bryanboy To Judge Future Models

Oh fashion rumors, you never seem to disappoint. However, when they are confirmed to be true we all always say “I knew it was true.” So basically I’m chiming in here and saying I knew it was true from the start. You’re probably wondering what we’re talking about. Remember when famous fashion blogger Bryanboy was rumored to join the cast of America’s Next Top Model? Yeah, that’s true.

WWD confirmed it this morning; reporting that sources close to Bryan have confirmed that he has indeed signed a contract and is en route to L.A. to start filming the 19th season. Well this is kind of a surprise to us actually, while we respect Bryan and his amazing hustle, it’s the whole bringing a style blogger onto the scene that really confuses us. However, we do realize how amazing Bryan is at his job and we wish him all the best on his newest endeavor.

Shay Mitchell Lives Her Life in American Eagle

We’re pretty big fans of American Eagle, and we feel they are sometimes over looked. However, whenever you need an on trend piece or just something cute at an affordable price, American Eagle does the trick. With that being said, we are more than excited to share some AE news with you.

American Eagle, for the first time ever, will be doing a print campaign. They’ve got 15 stars lined up for the 2012 “Live Your Life” campaign. The campaign will showcase the brand and their respect for individual style. The first of the 15 to step out in AE is Shay Mitchell, star of Pretty Little Liars. Shay stepped out and showed us all how she lives her life in American Eagle’s new Skinny Kick jeans!

Going throughout the summer the other 14 guys and gals will be revealed, making this one damn good time!

Louis Vuitton Is Getting Dotty

Louis Vuitton is about to get a little spotty. You’ve heard about Yayoi Kusama right? If you haven’t, you should and then name drop her and impress people. Marc Jacobs originally met Kusama in 2006 in which she did a little number on one of her Louis Vuitton bags and the rest was history.

Coming July 10th, a few days before Kusama will be showing at the Whitney, a collaboration will be released. Vuitton will be releasing a stunning collection of clothes and accessories; anything from trench coats to pendants. There is even a stellar pair of pumps with adorable little polka dots! Jacobs spoke to WWD about the collaboration saying “It’s really charming. It has the essence of the spirit of her work, both timeless and endless.”

We’re really excited to see how it turns out, we’re sure it’s going to be a hit!

With the recent launch of ‘Style Studios with Rebecca Minkoff,’ and most recently the launch of ‘What to Wear, Where.’ A whole new series has launched today, focused on giving you outfit ideas on what to wear to a variety of occasions.

Hosted by Hillary Kerr and Katherine Power, the founders of Who What Wear, inspired by their second book. The best part about it, you can shop the look here. How amazing?
