Neon skater boy. There’s a band name in that somewhere, but in all honesty, that is the only way we can describe the Topman Design SS’13 collection. And we love it. The bright neon colors, the graphic prints, the skateboard-as-an-accessory on the runway – not only was this an inspired collection, it is completely and 100% covetable. The Topman man for spring next year is unafraid – unafraid of his legs, unafraid of wearing bright pink, unafraid of being a bit showier with his style. Varsity tees in a range of colors played in to the skater boy aura, and made this particular editor covet each one in it’s respective color. Color blocked cardigans and sweaters aside, the collection was fun, fresh, and proves that this high street retailer is completely capable of creating a collection that they are a force to be reckoned with. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to heckle the sales and PR teams at Topman Design to find out when the collection (in it’s entirety) will be available, and if I can wear it all at once.
