Vivienne Tam Spring 2013
Vivienne Tam found inspiration for her Spring 2013 collecton in the five elements of Chinese cosmotology, which are water, wood, metal, earth and fire. Taking into consideration the shape, color and texture of each element, Tam presented a harmonious collection full of geometric prints and color blocking. Also staying true to her Chinese heritage, Tam emphasized the color red in the overall color scheme with accents of black, white, and gold. The linear theme was reinforced with Tam’s new collaboration with TSL jewelry, as well as in laser cut jackets and dresses that exposed pockets of skin. Skirts and wide leg cropped trousers hit below the knee while necklines were a combination of plunge front and high crew-necks. Overall this collection was a clever blend of modern design and artstic expression. Check out images of the full runway show below.
