Xsenia & Olya Spring 2013

Digital print masters Xsenia & Olya returned to Vancouver Fashion Week to show yet another incredible collection. Building on the theme of movement, their spring 2013 collection explored the properties of smoke and water.

The fluidity and smooth nature of smoke and water are embodied through the silhouettes of the looks. Effortlessly hanging off the body, each piece is enhanced by the natural movement of the wearer. Models appeared ethereal, gliding down the runway in floor-length skirt and gowns. Mini and maxi are combined in flowing, dreamy layers of chiffon and satin silks.

More subdued red and navy balance eye-catching turquoise and bright purple. Pops of neon are also seen amongst the color palette, also reflected in the eye shadow.

While each print makes a unique statement, the looks are wearable and approachable, inspired by the women who are well travelled and have a refined eye – for those who seek comfort in clothes because they are more mobile, more active but still want to look and feel beautiful.
